Plant belonging to the Cruciferae family. It is distinguished in the group of cabbages for its inflorescences (corymbs) generally white, but some varieties have showy colors from green to yellow, orange, purple. It prefers medium-textured soils, does not suffer from autumn temperatures, while it does not tolerate heat, so in summer transplants, when the plant is slender with a shallow root, it needs frequent irrigation, but being careful not to overdo it as it could increase the onset of root rot. The transplant period goes from August onwards with distances between the rows of about 80 cm and 50 cm on the rows. The harvest takes place about 70-80 days after transplanting for the early varieties, 90 days for the medium-early varieties and over 90 days for the late ones, providing product availability from October to March.
