The Navel orange is characterized by the classic "navel" in the distal part of the fruit, inside, in addition to the main wedges, there are also secondary wedgwes of much smaller size. It is an early variety that ripens in the first ten days of November. Like most citrus fruits, this fruit has organoleptic characteristics that give it healthy properties such as the high content of vitamin C. Widely used for the preparation of juices, it has a high juice yield. The fruit keeps well on the plant even after reaching full ripeness. It is possible to carry out a gradual collection thus avoiding the cold storage processes, with the possibility therefore of delivering to consumers a product that was still on the tree a few hours earlier.
